Free-Meds Programs - Too much of a good thing?

Free medications are available to your patients, but the hundreds of separate programs, varying requirements and differing forms are a lot to manage. So is the personal and financial information for hundreds of patients. Unless, of course, you have a tool designed to help you. PDA overcomes the confusion and reduces the time required to process program applications. Here's how...

1. Two hundred paper forms become one web form.
Patient Advocates can try to become familiar with over 200 widely different forms, or they can learn our simple web form. We offer two formats: either an easy, step-by-step wizard, or a fast "Expert Form" for collecting the variety of personal, medical and financial information required by these programs.

Either use the Step-By-Step wizard... ...or the one page Expert Form.
These two pages display the same data fields, but in different formats. Some advocates prefer to be guided through the form. More experienced advocates often want to see all the fields at once, so that they may enter data quickly.

Both pages save the data to the same database, so an advocate can use either, or even mix it up from time to time.

2. Collect information once.
Most free-drug programs require resubmission every 90 days, but PDA only requires patient data be entered once. We store the information in a secure database to be used again and again. Whether the patient is applying to one manufacturer or five, your patient advocate inputs the data once, and the data is still there in 90 days to fill out the renewal form.

3. Do the work on your schedule, in the order that works for you.
Sometimes patients don't have all their information handy. This process rarely moves in a smooth, linear fashion from start to finish. PDA recognizes that and helps make a messy process manageable. Record patient information whenever it's available, in any order, in as many steps as you need. Print the application when you need it, or re-print it if desired. We let the advocate call the shots. In a year, when a patient needs to re-apply, the data and records of all the previous activity will be there.

4. Always up-to-date and informed.
Hundreds of programs and forms, changing all the time; it's a lot for a Patient Advocate to manage. An out-of-date or missing form can result in rejection and delay receiving medication. We've centralized our form library so we can maintain it continuously. No piles of blank forms to maintain, no updates to install; just select the desired drug and we'll find the form you need.

As new drugs become available, they appear on the system right away, as will any software updates and upgrades. Your advocates are always working with the latest version automatically. Maintenance is our job now!

Here's an overview of how we organise data:
