The PDA web-application is currently available through two closely-related organizations.
Longmeadow Solutions develops software solutions and services for the health-care industry and other socially beneficial applications. We specialize in solving thorny, poorly addressed problems with very focused solutions, increasing the effectiveness of those people who help others, with minimal expense and fuss.
PDA is a product of Longmeadow Solutions and is licensed directly from Longmeadow.
We are a privately held company based in Longmeadow, MA and Menlo Park, CA.

PDA USA has been helping people gain access to free drug programs for nearly three-years. Founded in Longmeadow Massachusetts by John Stocks, the firm originally worked directly with patients, but has now refocused efforts towards the health-care facility and the in-facility staff who assist patients, usually called "patient advocates." In 2006 PDA USA and Longmeadow Solution partnered to develop a wholly new version of the PDA software, re-architected as a web-application with dramatically expanded capabilities.
PDA USA is dedicated to opening access to free or reduced-cost medication programs and specifically to the support of professional patient advocates working within health care facilities. Donations to PDA USA support our educational activities and provides licenses for the PDA web-application to selected health-care facilities. Donors may elect to "sponsor" a particular clinic for our support.

The People Behind Longmeadow PDA USA:
Jay Dean has designed and developed software for major corporations and software manufacturers for a decade and a half, creating custom business applications at Lex Software and designing Analytical Applications as a Senior Software Architect at Hyperion. As a consultant Dean has participated in the design and development of commercial business applications for major software firms.
Jay came to software development with an unusual mix of technical and marketing experience. Trained as a Civil Engineer at Princeton, Jay found his way into food marketing, becoming Director of the Beverage Group at Dole Foods in the mid-80's. At Dole his team was noted for success as "early adopters" of the new, PC-based marketing information sysytems.
As a software architect Jay is noted for his sensitivity to the end user's perspective and committment to delivering a solution that is right rather than cool. "To me software has always been a tool, not an end in itself. If the application does not solve the user's problem, really solve it, what's the point?"

John Stocks:
John Stocks is the founder of PDAUSA. In 2006 the corporate name changed to Longmeadow Solutions, L.L.C. as the company evolved into the web based application it is today. John has been involved in business for over 35 years from insurance to law to health care. He is a graduate of Fairfield University where he earned a B.A.; and a graduate of Western New England School of Law where he earned a Juris Doctor degree. He lives in Longmeadow, Massachusetts with his wife and 6 children
